Xenocultural Studies

You are the first of your species to visit this planet. You are the first of your species to see these artifacts. Who were these aliens? What were they like? Decode artifacts, acquire knowledge and record your findings. Draw conclusions, make educated guesses and tell your world what you think these long lost people from another star were really like.

You are a xenocultural specialist. In the past, you've been called upon to study alien civilizations before first contact was even initiated. These days, however, you find yourself studying only remains, the traces left by alien cultures that have died or moved on. You will study artifacts to gain Data Points, then use these Data Points to construct a picture of the people who left the artifacts behind. Once you have collected your list of Data Points, you will distill them into Findings. Using your Findings, you will be able to start making connections and construct a series of theories about the lost alien race. Tell the story of this lost species in a journal. Creativity is encouraged. Sharing your stories with others can also be fun.
